Resolved Question: Flying with 2 kids under 3. Need advice please!?
Monday, April 6th, 2009
My family and I are going to San Diego in August and we've never traveled via plane with the kids before.
I have 2 kids a 2 yr old and my younger one will be 13 months when we travel.
My 2 year old is sitting in his car seat on the plane, but the 13 month old will be sitting in my lap.
We are flying with the airline frontier, so anyone whose flown with them before would be a big help.
Now I need to check my daughter's car seat because she will not be using it on the plane. Will I get charged to check it? Also I want to take their double stroller on the trip too, because renting one at each different attraction is going to add up. My coworker suggested keeping my daughter in an infant carrier attached to the stroller and just use it until we have to board and they will pack up the stroller for me. Is this possible? I know Frontier charges for EVERY bag/item you check and I'm trying to avoid excessive charges. Anyone who has traveled with 2 kids near their ages, advice is really appreciated. How did you go about this? What can i do to keep checked items to a minimum. We will be gone for 6 days. I know I have awhile but I want to be REALLY prepared. Also any advice for 2 children with a stop over in Denver halfway through the flight is appreciated as well. Just any tips for traveling with kids would be great!
(I posted this under Air Travel too but I wanted to see if parents here had any ideas!)
