Carrier Bags

Homework It’s in that dusty corner of my room The part where my mom forgot to vacuum The coldest part too. It’s all in there sandwiched with my smelly old socks and the two weeks overdue book I just don’t want to go near it It might eat me alive I sit in my pink bean bag chair Coming up with excuses that might seem more realistic than My dog ate my homework. I go shopping with my friends Juicy and Abercrombie carriers that are bringing me down Ohh! Are those new Jimmy Choos? But I don’t feel like I’m inside a bubble All glowing and light whether I have hundreds of shopping bags. Something is bringing me down Is my guilt that heavy? So maybe I should do my months of homework So I could be light again with the guilt moving next door I don’t know where to start, but it’s better late than never. I'm in eighth grade.
