I'm co-hosting a baby shower for a friend who is having twins. It is a couple's shower, and I'm hosting along with 3 other women. I have 2 kids and I'm giving my friend all of our hand-me-downs. She wants them, I checked first. :) I'm giving her a $200 bassinet, $170 Graco swing, 2 bouncy infant chairs (the ones that recline), baby clothes, a diaper bag, bottles, 1 infant sling (the one you put over your shoulder and it cradles the baby by your chest, 1 infant backpack carrier, and a booster seat. There might be more stuff, I just can't remember now. This is all stuff my husband and I would have sold if we weren't giving it to them. Do we still need to get them baby shower gifts?

I told girl about it and she told me at the time that she had bought the bikinis earlier same year and that her mother had not been happy about them, and for some reason had taken them away and said that maybe she would give bikins back later on, then after about two weeks she had given them to my mum to keep for her, so girl couldn’t find to wear. Since then we have been seeing each other and I have been taking bikinis whichever one she wanted out of house so she could wear at local pool and I have been taking bikinis whichever one she wanted out of house so she could wear at local pool. But now there is a problem because she wants to go swimming Thursday and when I went to get the bikini I saw. I think mum has found out about it and put stop to me helping girl to wear the bikinis. Because all 5 bikinis have these triangle tops and the strings that hold them together are missing, 2 bikinis have side tying pants that had strings that could be pulled out they are also gone.The other 3 bikinis the bottoms have the legs sewed closed. I think mum has found out about it and put stop to me helping girl to wear the bikinis. What we I want to know is ? 1 Is the girls mother allowed to take away the girls that she bought herself and then give the bikinis to somebody my mum to keep so the girl can’t get them to wear? 2 Do you think our mums talked about it and decided to put a stop to the bikinis being able to be worn by removing the strings and sewing up the legs of the bikini pants can they do this? 3 Do you think that they did the right thing by doing this to the bikinis, so I can’t help the girl to get to wear? 4 How am I going to tell the girl that her bikinis are all busted up and sewed up?
